New leadership is emerging at several of Sonoma County’s organizations.

Linda Cano has been named the new executive director of the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art in Sonoma. During her tenure as executive director and chief curator of the Fresno Art Museum, where she doubled membership and broadened attendence, reaching new audiences. She replaces Kate Eilertsen, executive director of the Sonoma art museum for the past six years, who left to pursue teaching, independent curating and consulting.

The Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma has named Diane Dragone executive director, following Terence Keane, who had held the position since 2013. Elly Lichenstein continues in her longtime role as artistic director of the theater.

Jenny Bent has accepted a two-year appointment as choral director for the Santa Rosa Symphony, beginning with the 2016-2017 season. She also will continue in her ongoing role as director of choral activities at Sonoma State University. She replaces Robert Worth, Santa Rosa Symphony choir director from 2002 to 2015.
