San Francisco's Stern Grove Festival has announced its upcoming 79th season with Janelle Monáe kicking off the free outdoor music fun on June 19.

Here is the full lineup:

June 19: Janelle Monáe and Midtown Social

June 26: George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and Bayonics

July 3: Hieroglyphics and dance crews Mix'd Ingrdnts and Golden State Breakers

July 10: San Francisco Symphony

July 17: Joan Osborne's Soul Revue and John Brothers Piano Company

July 24: Julieta Venegas and La Misa Negra

July 31: San Francisco Ballet

Aug. 7: The O'Jays and MJ's Brass Boppers

Aug. 14: Atomic Bomb: The Music of William Onyeabor featuring Jamie Lidell, Luke Jenner, Money Mark and Sinkane; Afrolicious

Aug. 21: The New Pornographers and Astronauts, etc.

All concerts begin at 2 p.m. at Sigmund Stern Grove at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco. It is advised to get there early to secure a spot with a good view.

The series, established in 1938, is the oldest free summer performing arts festival of its kind in America.
