Smokey Robinson headlines Rodney Strong summer concert series

Tickets go on sale Thursday for the annual summer concert series featuring the Motown great, Huey Lewis and others.|

Tickets are on sale for this year’s Rodney Strong Summer Concert series, starring Motown pioneer and soul singer Smokey Robinson, smooth jazz saxophonist Dave Koz, rocker Huey Lewis and others.

Tickets range from $89 to $129 per show, and can be purchased online at rodneystrongconcertseries.com. Season tickets cost from $45 to $645.

The concerts are held outdoors on the winery grounds just south of Healdsburg. Gates open at 4 p.m. for each show, and the concerts start at 5 p.m.

The line-up includes:

June 18 - saxophonist Boney James and singer Morgan James

July 23 - Smokey Robinson

Aug. 13 - saxophonists Dave Koz and David Sanborn

Aug. 21 - Huey Lewis and the News.

Performers for the closing concert of the series in September will be announced later.
