Are you ready for a weekend of fun? This week, the Sonoma County Fair opens with horse racing, live concerts, carnival rides and more. Diana Krall is taking over the stage at Green Music Center. Plus, Chris Robinson Brotherhood headlines this year's Petaluma Music Festival. All this and more is in our list of things to do.

Through Aug. 13:
Sonoma County Fair: Fair days are upon us! Take the kids to the fair for a day of carnival rides and games, exhibits, fair food and more through Aug. 13. This year’s theme is “Holidaze,” so be sure to check the schedule for that day’s theme. Admission is $7-$13. Find out more at www.sonomacountyfair.com. Friday, Aug. 4
Diana Krall: Tickets are still available for this Friday’s live performance by Diana Krall at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park. Tickets start at $29, and will include a copy of Diana Krall’s upcoming album. Gates open 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Find out more at gmc.sonoma.edu.

Aug 5 & 6
SOFA Artwalk: This weekend, see the creative process and artwork of dozens of artists in Santa Rosa’s SOFA arts district 24 art studios open to the public. The free event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Find out more information at their Facebook page.

Saturday, Aug. 5
City Kids Festival North: This Saturday, low-income families are invited to Windsor Town Green to help get their kids ready for school. The event will include free backpacks and school supplies, plus food, activities and more. Registration is required to receive backpacks and supplies. The event begins at 10 a.m. For more information, visit srmission.org.
Note: There will be another event at Juilliard Park in Santa Rosa on Aug. 12.

Saturday, Aug. 5
NorCal BrewFest: Enjoy unlimited tastes of over 50 beers and ciders while at the Sonoma County Fair. Admission to this Saturday’s inaugural NorCal Brew Fest includes Fair admission and a commemorative mug, along with beer tasting. Tickets are $55. Find out more at norcalbrewfest.com.

Saturday, Aug. 5
Petaluma Music Festival: Benefiting Petaluma schools, this Saturday’s music festival in Petaluma includes performances by Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Miss Moonshine, Poor Man’s Whiskey and more. Tickets are $50, and the festival takes place 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds. Find out more at petalumamusicfestival.org.

Saturday, Aug. 5
Lime Day: Help families in need this Saturday with a food box sorting from 8-10 a.m. at 3327 McMaude Place in Santa Rosa, and then delivering the food from 10 a.m. to noon. Afterwards, volunteers are invited to celebrate at Howarth Park from noon to 2 p.m. with a BBQ, followed by a Walk the Park in LIME Day fashion show. Sunday, Aug. 6
Crissi Langwell: Meet Press Democrat writer/producer and local author Crissi Langwell at the Sonoma County Fair this Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the EC Kraft Building.
