KQED's 'Forum' to focus on fire aftermath in Santa Rosa visit
KQED is taking its show on the road. The National Public Radio and PBS Bay Area affiliate is headed to Santa Rosa as part of a new series of live broadcasts titled “Forum on the Road” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Forum" host Michael Krasny.
The series, slated to visit several Bay Area cities, will take over the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 6.
North Bay resident and “Forum” Friday host, Mina Kim, returns to Santa Rosa six months after wildfires ravaged the area to reflect and look forward with the residents, artists, reporters, and others who are rebuilding their communities in the wake of destruction.
The two-hour live event offers an inside look at how KQED produces the daily call-in program that presents balanced discussions of local, state, national, and world issues as well as in-depth interviews with leading figures in politics, science, entertainment and the arts.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Tickets are not available through the Luther Burbank Center. To register for a general admission ticket, visit fotrsantarosa.eventbrite.com.
