Grammy-winning rock singer-songwriter Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and former lead singer for Audioslave, will perform Sept. 24 at Santa Rosa’s Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.

Cornell will sing hits from his whole career, as well as material from his new solo album, “Higher Truth.” The show will start at 8 p.m.

Cornell is known as one of the pioneers of the 1990’s grunge rock movement. In 1990, he worked with future members of Pearl Jam in Temple of the Dog.

His recent solo acoustic “Songbook” tour drew sold-out crowds worldwide.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, June 5, for $50 to $60, online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, by phone at 707-546-3600, and at the center’s box office, 50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa.
