Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Maroon 5 and the Foo Fighters will headline the fifth annual BottleRock Napa Valley music, food, beer and wine festival to be held May 26-28 at Napa Valley Expo, it was announced Tuesday.

“The overall lineup is bigger, and arguably, the top of the lineup is a little bit bigger this year,” said Dave Graham, CEO of BottleRock Napa Valley and the Lattitude 38 entertainment event production company. “I'd put these headliners up against any festival in the country.”

Last year's festival, which featured Stevie Wonder, Florence + the Machine and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, drew more than 120,000 people.

“We've got more bands this year - bands like Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, and Fitz and The Tantrums,” Graham said. “There's something for everyone, whether you're 9 years old or 90.”

For example, the musical roster also includes revered gospel and soul singer Mavis Staples and the classic soul and funk band Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, Graham said.

In all, there will be at least 80 bands, compared to 75 last year.

Passes go on sale, priced from $309 to $3,500, at 10 a.m. Wednesday at BottleRockNapaValley.com and eventbrite.com.

“We sold out all three nights last year,” Graham said, and tickets were completely sold out by early April. “We anticipate that we will sell out much sooner this year.”
