Sonoma Valley father and son to dance in ‘Appalachian Cinderella’

A comedic take on the classic ‘Cinderella’ story, this Sonoma production is an Appalachian love story set to music from the 1920s.|

Sonoma Valley father-and-son duo Mauricio and Felix Rebolledo will perform this month in “Appalachian Cinderella,” a Sonoma Conservatory of Dance production. The pair train in classical ballet at the dance studio.

“Appalachian Cinderella” is a comic twist on the classic “Cinderella” story, set to rollicking music from the 1920s.

Performances are 1 p.m. April 14 and 15 at Sebastiani Theatre on the Sonoma Plaza. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

Tickets, available at brownpapertickets.com, are $22 for adults, $17 for seniors 62 and older and students 13 and older with student ID, $12 for children.

Adding $3 to ticket purchases goes toward conservatory scholarships.
