Oliver's Markets spearheaded a local humanitarian effort by a handful of organizations and individuals to provide food for the needy with the release of Real Music, A Taste of Sonoma County Music, Vol. 3, a compilation CD featuring Sonoma County musicians. The recording was officially released during a fundraiser at the Sebastopol Community Center on June 7th. The event featured live music as well as food and beverages. Oliver's has raised $7000 for the Redwood Empire Food Bank since April 2012 via sales of the first two Real Music CDs. The release party presented over 28 acts from the first three Real Music CDs on three stages: Concert and Dance Party, Live Hootenanny, and Acoustic Singer-Songwriter Circle. A diverse group of artists performed, including country star Pete Stringfellow, bluesman Volker Strifler, David Luning, and a whole host of legendary music ‘All-Stars'. Photos By Will Bucquoy
