Free things to do this summer in Sonoma County

In the summer season, Sonoma County offers plenty of free shows, most of them outdoors. Listed below are some of the free options available this summer.

Now through Aug. 16 - Wednesday Night Market, Santa Rosa: More street fair than produce market, the Santa Rosa Farmers Market attracts a crowd with live music, food trucks and vendors Wednesdays from 5-8:30 p.m. surrounding the newly remodeled Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. 707-524-2123. wednesdaynightmarket.org

Now through Sept. 29 - Summer Music Series and Food Truck Fridays, Sonoma: Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery hosts a summer concert series, with live rock and blues from 6-9 p.m. Fridays through Sept. 29, with wine available to purchase. May 18-Oct. 19 - Festivals at the Barlow, Sebastopol: Starting May 18, The Barlow will host Third Thursday Festivals, an evening of dancing to live music, food vendors, craft booths and more. The event takes place 4-8 p.m. every third Thursday, ending Oct. 19. thebarlow.net/third-thursdays

June 1-4 - Community Art and Flower Show, Windsor: Peruse and purchase floral exhibits and visual arts at Huerta Gymnasium from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
