A Vacaville man who was traveling through Mendocino County en route to a job early Wednesday morning crashed on Highway 101 near Ukiah, apparently after falling asleep at the wheel of his car, public safety personnel said.

Tyler Plowman, 19, suffered minor injuries in the 4:56 a.m. rollover crash near Hensley Creek Road, near the north edge of town, the CHP said. He was taken by ambulance to Ukiah Valley Medical Center for evaluation, firefighters said.

Plowman was driving a Nissan Pathfinder when he drifted off the east side of the highway struck an embankment and rolled side to side and end over end to the road below, CHP and Ukiah Valley Fire personnel said.
