Clearlake woman killed in Highway 20 crash

A 46-year-old Clearlake woman was killed when the car she was driving crashed on the shoulder of Highway 20 early Saturday morning, the CHP said.

The woman was driving a 1993 Oldsmobile westbound near Bartlett Springs Road around 3:30 a.m. when she swerved off the road and into a ditch with a steep embankment, according to the CHP. CHP officials said Sunday morning they could not release the woman’s name because they are still trying to notify her relatives.

She was not wearing a seat belt, the CHP said, and died at the scene of the crash.
