A man was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after CHP officers clocked the driver going 117 mph on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.

Isaac Elvira, 19, of Santa Rosa, was unable to perform a field sobriety test after officers stopped his Mercedes sedan near the College Avenue exit just after 2 a.m. Monday. The CHP said Elvira fell out of the driver’s seat and onto the right lane of traffic when officers opened the driver’s door.

Elvira was found to have a seven-inch knife concealed in his waistband, the CHP said. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of DUI, possession of a concealed weapon, driving 30 mph over the speed limit and driving without a license.
