The Petaluma Police Department has released a photo of a man they suspect robbed a Chevron gas station at gunpoint on Sunday night.

The image was taken from security camera footage during the robbery, which occurred about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Chevron at 4999 Petaluma Blvd. N. The man, who was described as being age 30 to 40, with dreadlocks and a cloth covering part of his face, walked up to the counter in the mini-mart and pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, police said.

He took a small amount of cash before fleeing the store. Police do not know if he left on foot or in a vehicle, according to Sgt. Ed Crosby.

No one was injured during the robbery, he said. Anyone with information about the robbery or the man in the photo is asked to contact the Petaluma Police 778-4372.
