Deadline to register to vote in June primary election approaching

School bonds, county supervisors, local judges, presidential candidates, state and federal lawmakers.

All await your vote June 5.

But you have to register to vote by Monday to cast a ballot in the June primary.

Postage-paid registration forms are available at a variety of public venues, including city halls, post offices, public libraries, many county offices, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and the Registrar of Voters, 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa. A drive-up window is available.

You must be a U.S. citizen age 18 or older on Election Day, and not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.

Besides new voters, anyone who has moved, wants to change party affiliation, or has changed his or her name should re-register by the Monday, May 21, deadline, county officials said.

Voter registration forms must be delivered or postmarked by the deadline.

People with hearing loss who need assistance through TDD may call (707) 565-6888 for voter registration.

General information also is available from the County Registrar of Voters between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at (707) 565-6800 or 1-800-750-VOTE.
