Two people were arrested Thursday at their southwest Santa Rosa home after deputies and a CHP officer heard gunfire and found a very intoxicated pair firing haphazardly out of the residence, Sonoma County sheriff’s officials said.

The officers heard the gunfire just before 6 p.m. and tracked it to a home on Todd Road near Standish Avenue.

Diana Daily, 33, and Robert Paul, 54, both of Santa Rosa, were booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner, Sgt. Cecile Focha said. At least one juvenile, a teenager, was at the residence at the time and the pair also were arrested on suspicion of child abuse, Focha said.

The teenager was released into the care of another family member, she said.
