A Santa Rosa woman was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison after pleading no contest to a fifth DUI offense.

Lynn Johnston, 62, was convicted of a felony DUI in 2011. The latest incident began with a traffic stop after another motorist called and reported that Johnston was failing to maintain her lane and braking erratically on Highway 101.

An officer discovered Johnston’s breath alcohol concentration was 0.15 percent, about twice the illegal limit.

District Attorney Jill Ravitch’s office prosecuted the case.

“We are pleased with the prison commitment handed down in this case,” Ravitch said in a statement. “This defendant has repeatedly shown her disregard for the laws of this state and the safety of every person that shares the road with her. This outcome once again demonstrates our firm commitment to aggressively prosecuting driving under the influence cases.”
