A man robbed a Cloverdale gas station at gunpoint on Christmas morning, making off with about $500 in cash, police report.|

A man robbed a Cloverdale gas station at gunpoint Thursday morning, making off with about $500 in cash, Cloverdale Police Sgt. Keith King said.

At 5:44 a.m., a masked man with a black hooded sweatshirt pointed a revolver at the clerk of the Fast & Easy gas station on Cloverdale Boulevard and demanded the money in the register, police said.

The suspect left northbound on Cloverdale Boulevard with the cash drawer. Police said the suspect was wearing white tennis shoes with dark trim along the soles.

The incident is under investigation, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cloverdale Police Department at 894-2150.
