Driver plows into Santa Rosa CVS drugstore

The driver jumped the curb, crossed the sidewalk, and plowed through the wall and window, taking out a cosmetics display at the Santa Rosa drugstore.|

The driver of a red BMW 325LX drove up over a curb, across about 15 feet of sidewalk and into the CVS drugstore on Mendocino Avenue at Steele Lane on Thursday night.

The car entered the building up to its rear wheels, taking out a large plate-glass window and a L’Oreal cosmetics display but not injuring anyone. It did startle some employees however.

The driver was out of the car and being interviewed at the scene at about 9:45 p.m., when the tow truck arrived for an extrication.
