Motorcyclist hurt in head-on collision near Glen Ellen

A motorcyclist was injured Friday in a head-on collision on Bennett Valley Road west of Glen Ellen, CHP officials said.

The collision was reported at 11:21 a.m. on Bennett Valley Road near Enterprise Road between at least one biker and another vehicle, according to the CHP incident log.

The biker suffered moderate head injuries and was apparently conscious and talking following the collision, CHP officials said. The biker was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Officers directed one-way traffic on the wooded, pastoral route that leads from the Sonoma Valley to the southern Santa Rosa area during the immediate crash investigation.

No more details about the rider were immediately available.
