Six firefighting agencies responded to the Sunday blaze.|

Firefighters from a half-dozen agencies responded to a house fire Sunday afternoon on the 900 block of Lytton Station Road between Geyserville and Healdsburg.

The fire was reported at about ?4:45 p.m. It appears to have begun on a back porch of the two-story home, but spread to a bedroom and attic.

The cause is under investigation, but “it doesn’t appear suspicious,” said Geyserville Fire Chief Marshall Turbeville. The occupants were away when the fire began. The home is now uninhabitable, with about a third of the structure ruined by fire and the remainder damaged by heat and smoke, he said.

Firefighters responded from Geyserville, Healdsburg, the Dry Creek Rancheria, Forestville, Cloverdale and Rincon Valley.
