Mendocino County law enforcement officers seized 489 marijuana plants, 110 pounds of processed pot and about $3,000 in cash from a Willits-area property after serving a search warrant on Bear Canyon Road this week.

The marijuana was being grown indoors, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers arrested two men, Jacob Kiesel, 34, and John Rardon, 35, both of Willits, on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and cultivation of marijuana, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Kiesel remained jailed as of Thursday, according to jail officials. Rardon has been released on $25,000 bail, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s deputies, the department’s marijuana eradication team and the county’s major crimes task force participated in the execution of the search warrant, officials said.
