Police on Saturday were searching for a man who robbed a Rohnert Park market.

The robbery occurred at about 5 p.m. Friday at the Easy Stop Market on Redwood Drive, Rohnert Park Public Safety Department officials said.

A man waited for customers to leave the store and then entered, approaching a clerk behind the counter, according to a police statement. The man demanded the clerk give him cash from the register.

The man was about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to police. He was wearing a gray baseball hat, on backward, a black short-sleeved T-shirt that hung down to his knees, dark jeans rolled at the ankles and dark shoes. He looked to be in his 20s or 30s.

Police said the suspect may have been with a heavy set man wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt.

The men were seen fleeing west on Laguna Drive in what appeared to be a green convertible 2000 BMW.

Anyone with information about the case can call the Rohnert Park police at 584-2630.
