Santa Rosa woman arrested on assault charges

A 20-year-old Santa Rosa woman suspected of hitting another woman in the face with a beer bottle, causing deep cuts, was arrested Wednesday.

Ireyda Flores is suspected of assault with a deadly weapon in the Sunday altercation at Los Caballos Cantina on Cleveland Avenue.

Flores was identified by witnesses including the victim, who told officers she recognized her from junior high school, Sgt. Steve Fraga said.

Witnesses also described Flores' 2011 Chevy Camaro as fleeing the scene, Fraga said.
