Clearlake Oaks man sought in shooting surrenders

A 27-year-old Clearlake Oaks man suspected of shooting an acquaintance with whom he reportedly had an ongoing feud turned himself in Monday at the Lake County Jail, police said.

Tyler Koho was booked on a $1 million arrest warrant on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, nearly six weeks after the shooting, Sgt. Nick Bennett said.

Police were still searching for a another man: Charles Lamont, 41, of Clearlake, Bennett said.

Police suspect Koho and Lamont confronted a 20-year-old man at the door of his home on Old Highway 53 and Davis Avenue and shot him in the stomach. Bennett said that the wounded man identified Koho as the trigger-man.

Lamont should be considered “armed and dangerous” because he is aware of the $1 million warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, Bennett said in a statement.

Anyone with information about the case can call Clearlake Police Detective Ryan Peterson at 994-8251, extension 320.
