Clearlake man held in stabbing

A Clearlake man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of assault.

Osvaldo Diaz, 26, is accused of stabbing a man, also 26, during an argument at the Lane Avenue home of the wounded man's brother, said Clearlake Police Lt. Mike Hermann.

The victim suffered lacerations to his back when he was assaulted with a folding pocketknife at about 2:45 p.m., Hermann said.

He was taken to Redbud Community Hospital for treatment.

Hermann said he does not believe the injuries were life-threatening.
