Four Southern California men have been sentenced to state prison in connection with a Ukiah Valley home-invasion robbery and rape last fall, the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office reported Friday.

Jonathan Otero-Cruz, 25, received a 24-year prison term for robbery and rape at gunpoint. He admitted to forcibly raping a 37-year-old woman who lived at the Redemeyer Road home, according to district attorney’s officials.

The three other defendants sentenced to state prison earlier this month are Jose Israel Cabrera, 25, and Christopher Montoya, 29, both of San Bernardino, and Filomeno Espinoza Nunez, 38, of Compton. Nunez knew the victims, the Sheriff’s Office reported earlier.

Cabrera was sentenced to 16 years after pleading guilty to two counts of residential robbery, and admitting a prior strike conviction, officials said. Montoya, who had no prior criminal record, was sentenced to eight years after entering guilty pleas to two counts of residential robbery. Nunez, who stayed outside to keep watch, was sentenced to seven years in connection with the robbery of a neighbor who by chance went to the home during the robbery and rape, officials said.
