Sonoma County sheriff’s detectives arrested four men suspected of being the buyers, a seller and a deliveryman of heroin and methamphetamine at a Santa Rosa apartment.

Detectives looking for a wanted person Tuesday near the Heidi Place apartment began suspecting drug sales were taking place after noticing people coming and going, Sgt. Mike Raasch said.

They pulled over a vehicle leaving the unit about 11 a.m. and arrested Thomas Dewayne Lewis Jr., 31, and Greydon Thompson, 23, both of Santa Rosa, after finding both men had heroin with them, Raasch said.

With approval from a judge, detectives searched the apartment Tuesday and found about a half-ounce of crystal methamphetamine and about a quarter-ounce of heroin - both quantities indicative of drug sales, Raasch said. The detectives also seized packaging material, scales and cash and arrested the resident, Michael Nephew, 56, of Santa Rosa, on suspicion of possessing heroin and methamphetamine for sale, drug paraphernalia possession and violating felony probation from a prior drug-possession conviction, Raasch said.

While detectives were at the apartment, a man arrived carrying more than a half-pound of black tar heroin and more than $800. Detectives arrested Santos Romero-Martinez, 22, of Mexico, who had a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court for a traffic ticket, Raasch said.

Detectives suspect Romero-Martinez was delivering the drugs as a drug runner for a dealer. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing and transporting drugs for sale and booked into the Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $51,000 bail, Raasch said.
