A Novato man who was hit by a suspected drunken driver on Saturday night remains in critical condition, a hospital official said Monday.

Nathan Robertson, 39, was heading south on Arnold Drive in the Sonoma Valley just before 8:30 p.m. when a Dodge Neon going north weaved into his lane, slamming into the left front side of his Chevrolet Cavalier, according to the CHP.

Robertson suffered major injuries and was rushed to Napa’s Queen of the Valley Hospital, where he remained in the Intensive Care Unit Monday, said Vanessa deGier, hospital spokeswoman. His passenger, Elizabeth Robertson, 31, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries but was no longer listed as a patient.

The Dodge driver, Eladio Castro Naal, 22, of Petaluma, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. He was also taken to Santa Rosa Memorial, where he was treated for minor injuries.
