Ukiah police: Women steal man’s clothes, leave him with tiny towel

A man expecting to have paid sex with two women at a Ukiah motel was instead swindled out of his wallet, cellphone and clothes, leaving him naked and exposed, according to the Ukiah Police Department. Police are asking for the public’s help solving the crime.

The suspects and victim Monday evening went to a Motel 6 on South State Street, where the women asked the man to take a shower. While he was bathing, he heard them leave the room. When he emerged from the shower, he discovered they’d taken his belongings and most of the towels in the room, leaving him with nothing but a small towel with which he attempted to cover himself, police said.

Officers did not locate the women but found a witness who reported seeing two women running from the area. The witness said he followed them for a short distance but then lost sight of the pair. He located some jeans, which he returned to the scene.
