Jay Leno show at Green Music Center canceled

Comedian's stand-up performance bagged due to 'unforeseen circumstances.'|

Jay Leno’s stand-up performance scheduled for the Green Music Center’s Weill Hall next week has been canceled.

The center made the announcement Friday but gave no details, citing only “unforeseen circumstances.”

The show, which had been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 31, is not being rescheduled at this time, said Melissa Sanders, senior vice president of the center.

It’s unclear whether the 65-year-old former “Tonight Show” host or the center canceled the event. Leno remains scheduled to perform at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas the following night, according to the ticket office.

A spokesman for Leno had no comment.

Sanders said she did not know how many tickets - which ranged from $27.50 to $125 - had been sold for the event.

Ticketholders will be alerted and will receive full refunds, she said. For questions, call the box office at 866-955-6040 or email tickets@?sonoma.edu.
