Woman reported as possible kidnapping victim contacts Oakland police
OAKLAND — Authorities say a woman who was reported as a possible kidnapping victim in Oakland has made contact with police.
The Oakland Tribune reports (http://bayareane.ws/1EBrpAb) the woman, whose identity has not been released, contacted police Tuesday and told them she was unharmed and was involved in a domestic dispute. She came forward after media reports surfaced about the possible Monday night kidnapping.
Oakland police had started an investigation after a witness reported that a suspect had grabbed a woman, shoved her into the trunk of a car and drove off.
The woman has been interviewed by investigators, but police haven't said whether any arrests have been made or released further details.
