A man suspected of hitting three people with a crowbar was arrested Sunday in Santa Rosa, police said.

The man, identified as John Oliver, was being held on a felony assault charge, Sgt. Summer Black said.

Oliver, whose age was not available, is suspected of getting in an argument with one of the victims near the Redwood Gospel Mission on Wilson Street, Black said.

He’s accused of hitting the person along with two others who attempted to intervene, she said. The assault was reported at 9:45 a.m.

“It was a quasi-domestic dispute,” Black said. “A petty argument.”

Two of the victims were treated at the scene and released, she said.

A third was taken to a hospital, where he was also treated and released, she said.
