Tyler Florence, Michael Mina and Gordon Ramsay among top chefs coming to BottleRock Napa Valley

The upcoming BottleRock Napa Valley in downtown Napa will match music stars with celebrity chefs like Tyler Florence and Gordon Ramsay.|

When BottleRock Napa Valley bills itself as a “music, wine, food and craft brew festival,” that’s not empty rhetoric.

The lineup of culinary stars at this year’s sold-out festival, running May 27-29 in downtown Napa, includes Michelin-starred chefs Gordon Ramsay, Food Network “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto, the Food Network’s chef Tyler Florence, James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina and “Top Chef” competition winner Michael Voltaggio, it was announced this week.

At BottleRock, the music headliners mingle with chefs on the culinary stage.

Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt of Green Day, Michael Franti and others are scheduled to participate. (The musical lineup was originally announced in early January when tickets went on sale.)

Star athletes also will appear, including San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s legend Vida Blue, former 49er Dwight Clark, former Oakland Raider Charles Woodson, former 49er Vernon Davis of the Washington Redskins and Mark Sanchez of the Denver Broncos.
