Tomahawk-toting parolee arrested in Covelo
A 25-year-old Covelo man remains in the Mendocino County Jail after deputies arrested him last week on suspicion of carrying a tomahawk in violation of his parole, the Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
Deputies encountered Daniel Taylor on Aug. 31 and found him in possession of a tomahawk, according a sheriff’s news release. They contacted Taylor’s probation/parole officer and learned he was in violation of parole for carrying the weapon and also for not properly reporting to the parole office.
Taylor was taken to jail and is being held without bail, the press release stated.
