Driver crashes into Santa Rosa culvert

The driver apparently hit a fence and tree before landing in the west Santa Rosa culvert.|

A driver traveling on Guerneville Road early Monday apparently lost control of her car, ran off of the roadway and crashed into a culvert, according to emergency reports.

The 7:15 a.m. crash happened near Woodacre Trail, less than a mile west of Fulton Road.

The driver apparently crashed through a chain-link fence and hit a tree before landing in the dry culvert.

Firefighters found the car on its side, Santa Rosa fire Battalion Chief Matt Dahl said. They cut the windshield and helped the woman out. She was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

CHP officers were investigating.
