Santa Rosa police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run Saturday that left an 84-year-old woman seriously injured.

The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 1550 Pacific Ave., near the First Presbyterian Church.

The woman was reportedly struck by a white sedan driven by a woman in her 50s or 60s who immediately fled the scene, Sgt. Summer Black said.

The car was described as a late 1990s or early 2000s model sedan similar to a Toyota Corolla, possibly with four doors, Black said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where she remained in serious condition with injuries to her spine, plus head trauma and multiple lacerations, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Officer Josh Kertianis at the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-543-3636.
