Santa Rosa police find man stabbed in back

A 31-year-old man with stab wounds was found Sunday afternoon by police in northwest Santa Rosa.

The unidentified man, found by officers at 1:10 p.m. in the area of Kingwood and West 9th streets, told officers he'd been stabbed in the back.

He was taken to an area hospital where police said he was in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call the department's Violent Crimes Investigation Team at 707-543-3590.
