Minor injuries in Bennett Valley Road head-on crash

Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa was open after a two-car crashed blocked traffic early Thursday.

The CHP said occupants of the cars suffered minor injuries when they collided head-on near Old Bennett Ridge Road about 6:30 a.m. One person was briefly trapped in a vehicle.

Traffic from Santa Rosa to the Warm Springs and Kenwood areas was briefly detoured to use Highway 12 as an alternate route. It was reopened about 7:40 a.m.

The CHP website described the vehicles as a white Mustang and a silver sedan.
