An 86-year old Napa woman died late Sunday morning after she lost control of her Toyota Prius and collided head on with a Ford pickup truck on Highway 29 near Middletown, the CHP reported.

Ann Mcghee was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP. The driver and passenger of the pickup truck, Enrique Jimenez, 61, and Teresa Chairez, 56, suffered moderate injuries. They were flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment, CHP officials said.

Mcghee was driving south on Highway 29 between Hidden Valley Lake and Middletown at about 11:30 a.m. when her car drifted onto the right shoulder, officials said. According to the CHP, she over-corrected, causing the car to cross the road and swerve into the path of the truck.

The highway was closed to traffic for about an hour following the crash.
