Ukiah police search for stabbing suspect

Ukiah police are seeking help tracking down the attacker in an early Saturday morning stabbing.

Police learned of the stabbing about 3 a.m. when they were dispatched to Ukiah Valley Medical Center regarding an assault victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim told them he was on the 200 block of Observatory Avenue near an apartment complex when he was stabbed from behind. He said he could not identify his attacker.

The stabbing victim was transported to an out-of-area hospital for treatment because of the severity of his injuries, police said.
