Santa Rosa police checking on felons Monday found one with more than a probation violation.

Officers knocking on the door of a home in the 2000 block of Park Meadow Drive spotted someone throw a handgun out of a bedroom window, Santa Rosa police said.

It wasn’t the only contraband they would find in their arrest of 25-year-old Santa Rosa resident Omar Rodriguez Cabrera.

Items discovered in the home included an AR-15 assault rifle, a .410-caliber shotgun, an AK-47 style rifle, three pistols, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, about 4 ounces of suspected cocaine, half a pound of suspected methamphetamine and 5 ounces of heroin, around $5,000 in cash and two stolen motorcycles.

Cabrera was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of numerous felony offenses.

He was one of about 14 people contacted, 26 searches conducted and two arrests made during a multiagency sweep of high-risk felons on probation.
