Warriors' Andre Iguodala reportedly making a late-night talk show

Warriors player Andre Iguodala is reportedly trading in his basketball shoes for a microphone - at least for the offseason.

Fresh off Golden State's championship win, Iguodala is set to star in his own late-night talk show called “Evenings with Andre,” The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

Iguodala is working with former BuzzFeed executive Jon Steinberg's startup Cheddar on the show, which will feature interviews with guests from the worlds of tech, sports, business and entertainment.

Cheddar is hoping to sell the show to Netflix or Amazon, but will post shows on social media platforms if there is no interest from large buyers, reported the Journal.

The show will allow the tech-savvy NBA star to focus on topics that fascinate him, he said in a statement. “I'm excited to share what's new and trending in Silicon Valley and beyond.”

Off the court, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP owns a content production company for athletes and entertainers called The Freetown Project and is an avid investor in tech startups.

As far as basketball goes? The show will be shot during the offseason but it looks like Iguodala is trying to make his mark on the technology world for the future.

“There's going to be a time when my basketball is career is over and I'm going to have aspirations outside of basketball,” he said.
