Four arrested at Windsor home after discovery of guns, drugs
Four people were arrested at an east side Windsor home Tuesday where Sonoma County sheriff’s detectives found 13 guns, cash and drugs, a sheriff’s official said Wednesday.
The arrests followed a two-week investigation into drug sales and gun possession.
About 10:15 a.m. the sheriff’s SWAT team surrounded the Strech Lane home and called for residents to exit. When no one did, two loud “flash bang” devices were detonated, and three people emerged. A fourth was stopped when he drove up to the home.
A search of the home and garage found three handguns, six shotguns and four rifles, most loaded. One was an illegal short-barreled assault rifle, sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum said. Deputies also found high-capacity ammunition magazines, a bulletproof vest, almost 100 grams of methamphetamine and heroin packaged for sale, counterfeit money and more than $8,000 in cash, plus a smaller amount of drugs and cash in a car.
Terence Martin, 31, was arrested on suspicion of several felony charges including possessing the illegal rifle, possessing an assault weapon and a stolen gun, and animal cruelty. Bail was set at $60,000.
Fabian Markam, 36, who had driven up to the home, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and transportation. Bail was set at $40,000. Two women at the home were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
