A vehicle crashed into a Santa Rosa apartment building Tuesday morning and injured a man sitting inside, according to authorities.

Just after 9 a.m. a slow-moving Dodge Magnum plowed into a wall of a leasing office at the Vineyard Garden Apartments on Burt Street, near Santa Rosa Avenue.

“There happened to be a person sitting at the desk against the wall the driver hit,” said Santa Rosa fire Battalion Chief Mark Basque.

The male driver and the man inside the building didn’t appear to have serious injuries, Basque said.

The driver may have had a medical emergency just before he crashed, said Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Dave Linscomb. Damage to the building wasn’t extensive, Linscomb said.
