A 20-year-old Sonoma State University student was arrested Saturday night by Rohnert Park police at the scene of a five-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Cotati Avenue and Camino Colegio.

Matthew Riedel, found still in the driver’s seat of a Volvo at the collision site, was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

An unidentified female driver in another vehicle complained of head and neck injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene of the 7:30 p.m. crash, then transported to a hospital.
