A 14-year-old girl possibly on her way to school was struck by a car in a Santa Rosa crosswalk Thursday morning.

The youth was at the intersection of Guerneville Road and Peterson Lane around 7:59 a.m. when she was struck by a silver Chevrolet Malibu, according to dispatchers.

The location is a few blocks south of Piner High School, but it was not immediately clear if the girl was a student there.

She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No other information was immediately available.
