Tell us: Six months later, how are the Sonoma County fires still affecting your well-being?

If you're still experiencing physical or emotional changes triggered from the Sonoma County fires and would like to share your story, we want to hear from you.|

It's been six months since wildfires tore through the North Bay, killing dozens of residents, destroying homes and businesses and displacing thousands. The emotional blow and trauma has been profound and enduring, especially for those who lost loved ones, their homes or pets.

Even those whose homes were spared experienced a historic community-wide disaster that continues to have repercussions, including the loss of jobs, budget shortfalls affecting local government agencies and nonprofits, the lack of affordable housing. Mental health professionals are reporting increased stress, anxiety, depression and PTSD among local residents.

The Press Democrat examined community-wide mental health issues one month after the fires. We are revisiting the matter now, six months later. If you'd like to share your story, please tell us the extent of your loss and how your emotions have changed and evolved these past six months. Are you still triggered physically and emotionally?
