A Rohnert Park man was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Tuesday after his semitrailer overturned on a rural west Marin County road trapping him inside, according to initial CHP reports.

The 10:15 a.m. crash happened on Tomales Petaluma Road at Twin Bridge Road, just east of the town of Tomales near the Sonoma County line. The Peterbilt truck rolled onto its side and landed in a ditch, CHP said.

Initial reports indicated the 51-year-old driver, whose name hasn’t been released, was trapped and didn’t appear to be conscious.

No other details were available Tuesday.
