SEBASTOPOL: Garden of Ease earns award

Garden of Ease Landscaping & Design took a major sweepstakes award from the California Landscape Contractors Association for a backyard project in west Sonoma County.

The $50,000 project was designed to suit a family with kids and included permeable surfaces made of recycled tires, said Lynne Bernstein, who heads up the company. Garden of Ease was selected for the top award over all other residential projects, both large and small, during the Northern California chapter’s awards banquet in June.

The project, designed by Judy Olin, was a featured favorite on last month’s Western Sonoma County Home and Garden Tour, put on by Food for Thought.
